As of 21 januari 2005 I own this volvo 760 as a supplement for my volvo 740.

1986 Volvo 760 I found this car at a local ebay lookalike site. It needs a bit of work. The exhaust has at least one hole more then it was designed with and the blower from the heating needs to be fixed. After this the car can pass it's MOT.

The heating is fixed. The problem was... the connector of the blower. During testing by the garage the connector was disconnected several times. During one of the reconnects they managed to push the negative lead from the connector casing. After reinserting it correctly the heating was fixed.
The exhaust is pretty simple. The pipe that bends over the rear axle is mostly gone, just as the rear muffler. Simply relpacing them should be enough.

1986 Volvo 760 During the last inspection of teh car we were a bit curious about the current state of the roof of the car. Those rust spots didn't look good. After removing the paint we discovered we had nothing to worry about. There was no rust, as there was no roofplate anymore to start rusting... To keep the rain out I've applied a temporary patch, but this won't last long.

I've bought a new 1984 760 after discovering that this car is less restorable that I suspected it to be. So I've decided to scrap this car and start parting it out. The electric motor + switch for the electric roof are already mounted in the 1987 760, just like the gas springs for the trunk.

I've added a nice app to calculate all costs made for this car. Just folow the link.
